Welcome Message

wenyAUN (ASEAN University Network) is an organization with its members coming from some universities in ASEAN. AUN’s aim is to develop a common standard of quality through sharing experiences and good practices in order to generate a qualified output of the university. Hopefully, the output will have good, deep impact in the growth of the respective countries and the world, particularly, ASEAN. One of the AUN agenda is enhancing the quality assurance in each member university by sharing experiences. From 2001 till present, there have been eight workshops held. The purpose of the workshops was to create a model and system of quality assurance. In 2006, AUN published a manual titled “ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance: Manual for the Implementation of Guideline”. This manual has been used as a reference for conducting assessments in some members’ study programs by the AUN Assessor Team.

University of Indonesia has been appointed to conduct the “9th Workshop Quality Assurance”. In the mean time, two study areas in the Faculty of Engineering, civil and mechanical engineering, will be assessed by the AUN Assessor Team. The assessment will be held from December 9th-10th, 2008. The workshop itself will be held on December 11th-12th, 2008.

The focus of this workshop is “Mechanism for the Establishment of ASEAN Credit Transfer System”. It is hoped that AUN members will share information on the Credit Transfer System (CTS) and explore the mechanism of the ASEAN CTS.

I warmly invite you to join our workshop and share your best practices on quality assurance and credit transfer system. Please visit www.aun2008.ui.edu to find all related information on the workshop. The detailed agenda, registration and accommodation information are also published on this website.
